PAQUETES DE TRABAJO

Plan de trabajo y lista de paquetes de trabajo y sus objetivos y alcances específicos dentro del proyecto CityClim

  • Work Package 1 - Pilot Requirements, Overall Concept and Framework"
WP1 aims at ensuring that the project developments adequately address the challenges from the pilots, by setting requirements and specifications and defining the Framework for the implementation of the CityCLIM vision. WP1 willset the detail plans for the other WPs development that will leverage on the requirements, specifications and expected improvements set out within this WP: To update the state-of-the-art analysis, urban weather forecast models and specify pilots’ scenarios and analyse requirements from the pilots. To update the overall CityCLIM concept and develop and test the laboratory prototypes of services. To develop the CityCLIM Framework.
  • Work Package 2 - Generic City Climate Platform
WP2 is the main task for the Generic City Climate Platform (GCCP) software design and development. It aims: • to design the software for the GCCP and services • to provide technical assessments, critical technology decisions and early prototype implementation • to develop FP, including cyber security and quality assurance (QA) aspects • to apply feedback from field tests
  • Work Package 3 - Advanced Urban Weather Model
WP3 aims to develop and implement the Advanced UltraHD mode, an urban small-scale high resolution (100 m) full physics weather model (TRL 7) that can be run on an operational level for all pilot cities. The model will be based on the first prototype of the UltraHD (from Cross-CPP) and will be used to run diagnostics on urban micro-climate effects, as well as highly accurate short-term weather warnings. It will be integrating a vast amount of data from various sources (satellite data, airborne data, in-situ data, citizen science data) and thus, reflect, as much “reality” and ground-truth as possible, for its initialization fields. Furthermore, it will be used to run case studies (by changing the static input, e.g., modified vegetation density) to identify possible adaption strategies to mitigate climate change challenges.
  • Work Package 4 - Citizens Science Concepts for Urban Climate Monitoring
WP4 aims to develop and implement approaches that explore the potential of citizen science in collection of current and historical data, the quality assessment of data and products, as well as the individual use of data and the derivation and evaluation of adaptation action for climate change.
  • Work Package 5 - Data Processors for City Weather Model
WP5 aims at: • Building a reference dataset of in-situ measurements. • Acquisition of high resolution imagery from airborne sensors. • To develop a data processor for satellite data on urban agglomerations.
  • Work Package 6 - City Climate Services
WP6 aims at the development and provision of impactful climate change information and mitigation services for both urban and local areas, as well as large-scale country level. The services address all stakeholders, but each service focusses on a specific group: The City Climate City Administration service will assess and address the needs of each pilot city and provide meaningful and actionable insight on the current city inherent climatic conditions of each city, as well as its vulnerabilities and possible mitigation scenarios based on case studies. The Climate Portal services will focus on the dissemination of knowledge to all citizen about both local and regional present and historic weather conditions by providing easy-to-use web tools that make exploring easy and interesting.
  • Work Package 7 - Pilots: Infrastructure, Customisation, Field-Testing and Demonstration"
Work package 7 aims to specify in detail: • To define the methodology and prototype implementation and validation. • To define the specifications of infrastructure in pilot sites. • To integrate services developed in WP 6 in Pilots Infrastructure. • To conduct 4 Pilots at partner cities. • To test and validate Early and Full prototypes of the services Framework within 4 pilots. • To demonstrate the results and assess KPIs in the 4 cases.
  • Work Package 8 - Communication, Dissemination, Exploitation, Roadmap"
To decide and prepare dissemination and exploitation strategies to maximise the project impact: • To lead a Europe-wide dissemination activity to maximise the impact of the project results. • Lead an exploitation strategy to facilitate the successful exploitation and take-up of the results. • Lead a strategy for standardisation of the CityCLIM project results. • Monitor market trends, opportunities, user needs, etc. • To organise project workshops and coordinate between EC, partners and users to communicate, disseminate project results and exploit opportunities for applications, commercialisation and standardization, and to provide resources for training.
  • Work Package 9 - Management
Work package 9 aims to ensure the realization of the project goals with the required technical and financial quality, level and timing ensure an effective, efficient and expeditious management of the resources, besides efficient communication with all partners and with the EC, providing on-time all deliverables and reports perform the overall management of the project and coordination among the different WPs establish the communication flow and methods for reporting, monitoring and quality assurance, including innovation management and ethics management coordinate the reporting to EC manage knowledge and intellectual property rights encourage networking with related projects promote gender equality and diversity devise measures to avoid risky plans regarding financial, legal, administrative and technical co-ordination, overcome potential risks and establish contingency plans if needed
