ADVISORY BOARD

The Advisory Boards main role is to assure a monitoring and control of the project development 

 from the business point of view, especially to assure user-driven approach and to support innovation management. 

 The board is composed of 3 members representing influential stakeholders 

 from the circle of consortium members’ users and partners.

Dr. Iphigenia Keramitsoglou

Research Director in IAASARS

Iphigenia Keramitsoglou is a Research Director in the Institute of Astronomy, Astrophysics, Space

Applications and Remote Sensing (IAASARS) of the National Observatory of Athens (NOA) in Greece.

She has extensive experience in the organization and management of research and technological

development programs. In particular, she is actively involved in the research regarding monitoring the UHI phenomenon from Space and downscaling thermal infrared imagery in real time to safeguard citizens during extreme temperature events and increase urban resilience.

Roya Ayazi

NEREUS

Being trained as a German lawyer, Roya Ayazi held for more than 20 years positions in European/ Governmental Affairs and has work experience in public administration and associations of civil society represented in Brussels. Since 2009 Secretary General of NEREUS (Network of European Regions Using Space Technologies) Roya heads its Brussels/Belgium based secretariat and is the main interface of the association at European level. Through the participation in different model projects Roya acquired knowledge in areas such as spacecommunication & outreach, education & training, user-uptake.

Petra Fuchs

Deutscher Wetterdienst (DWD)

Petra Fuchs is meteorologist and received her Diploma at the Humboldt-University of Berlin in 1988 on mesoscale modelling. She has long time experience in different meteorological fields with focus on climatology and remote sensing. As head of the urban climatology group at Deutscher Wetterdienst (DWD) Petra is responsible for supporting research and development in this field, which is closely linked to different application sectors. Petra gained her background in remote sensing as head of Operations of EUMETSAT Satellite Application Facility on Climate Monitoring (CM SAF) based at DWD.
